Pumphrey is a 1996 graduate of the Delaware Law School of Widener University. He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University, magna cum laude. John actively practices in both state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has significant experience in the defense of professional liability matters and catastrophic damage cases arising out of medical negligence and general negligence. John has tried and been involved in dozens of jury trials in these areas. Prior to coming to the firm, John also was employed by one of the premier plaintiffs catastrophic injury firms in Philadelphia and was also associated with a major Philadelphia insurance defense firm. He continues to concentrate his practice in all areas of civil litigation. In November, 2002, John was appointed by Governor Rendell to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Medical Malpractice Insurance Crisis Task Force.
